The Pop Warner Football program is open to children ages seven through fourteen. Pop Warner teaches sportsmanship, teamwork, and good citizenship. Football basics and skills are the focus, but the "student-athlete" comes first. Cheerleaders are included in the program as well. The Pop Warner Little Scholars program requires players and cheerleaders to maintain good grades to participate. Pop Warner is the feeder program for Michigan City High School football; all teams are known as the Junior Wolves. Sign-up begins in April, with practice starting in August.
