- Mixed Exhibits
Mixed species exhibits provide an interactive experience where the animals’ lives are enriched through this community living. Visitors also enjoy observing these interactions as well as the increased activity levels in the exhibits. To enhance the learning experience even more the zoo staff has and will continue to provide more natural plant scapes to recreate the exhibited animals wild habitat.
Some examples of mixed exhibits here at the Washington Park Zoo is the – South America exhibit – Rheas along with Llamas and an Australian area of Emus and Black swans.
