St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The St. Patrick's parade is hosted by the Michigan City Mainstreet Association.

The St. Patrick's Parade is a fun event for all ages that brings bellow of bagpipes, and the laughter of children to the UAD. Each year dozens of businesses and organizations march in the parade, and MCMA hosts a pop-up beer garden at the Intersection of Franklin & 7th where adults can enjoy a libation while watching the parade.

Before the parade, many businesses offer fun activities for children such a face painting, hair dying, etc. There is also a "polar plunge" into Lake Michigan hosted in the morning.

After the event, local restaurants and bars host a shuttle bus that allows adults to jump from bar to bar throughout the city to enjoy camaraderie.
