The new Cleveland Park located behind the Michigan City Police Department is dog-friendly and open to the public. All dogs must remain on a leash at all times and have a City-issued Animal License

The LaPorte County "Bark Parks" are a great place to bring your dogs to exercise in a fully fenced area. The "Bark Parks" at Bluhm and Creek Ridge also feature many events for dogs to enjoy like; Tire Jump, Dog Walk, Window Jump, Rover Jump Over, Doggie Crawl, King of the Hill, and Pause Table.

Registration and Daily or Annual Permit are required for each dog present. Owners must present their No-Leash Dog Permit upon request. Daily fees and Annual fees are paid on site. Fees collected are divided equally between the Parks Department and Small Animal Shelter for the upkeep of the facility and operational costs.
